Explore 3 Days 2 Nights at Taman Negara
During 28 April 2007 to 30 April 2007, I spend my 3 days 2 nights holiday at Taman Negara. It's really fun, enjoyable and feeling adventurous in the rain forest.
It's cost about RM440 per person for a free and easy package which included transport, meal and traveling. First of all, we just pay RM50 fees person to the travel agent. Rest of it we pay it on the day we depature from Kuala Lumpur. Along the trips in Taman Negara, the only transportation is our own foot, van and boat.
First day, it was raining heavily in the midnight. I afraid it's will continue morning..luckily it stop before I wake up. Thankfully, we can took bus from Shah Alam to Kuala Lumpur in the early morning on time.
Around 45 minute, we arrive at KL and register at Hotel Mandarin Pacific (China Town, Petaling Street).
Half hours later, we started depart from KL to Jerantut, Pahang. At 12.30pm, we having our lunch and collect our travel voucher, T-shirt at NKS Cafe. The meal wasn't too bad.. ^ ^
Around 1.30pm, we took NKS bus directly to Taman Negara and reach the Woodland Resort about 3.30 pm. As I know, the resort offers a variety of accommodation including suit, three standard and superior, VIP suite. And I took 3 standard suite with my brother and sister.
We check in our room as request and prepare ourself for first adventure........taken boat to Cave Exploration at Gua Telinga.....cool....the challenge I was waiting are coming real....^ ^...hey...don't forgotten brings along your torch light.
On this few days trip, we will lead by En. Alif, who was very friendly and experience guide.
Before entering the cave, guess what....haha....I saw my friend waiting at jeti, waiting for boat. It's seen world are very small. Even at Taman Negara, I still meet friends at here. They just finish their cave exploration.
We pass by the orang asli resident area and walk around 30 minutes to destination. During the journey,I was magnetize by the surrounding jungle and natural feeling is coming out. It's really tall,huge and I believe the trees are live in this jungle million years ago.
On the way...haha...we saw few tourists came out from the cave keep saying good luck to us...OMG...Its seen to be not easy to get through...but haven't try out and haven't know the result...is a great challenge.
The cave is really small and seen to hard to go in especially few area in the cave. But with help and guide from En. Alif, it really easy. Inside the cave, will saw a hundred or may be thousand of bats are hanging and resting.
When turn off our lights, you will saw bats flying around your surrounding. We took 1 hour to coming out from cave exits. I love it.......finally..complete one challenge one explorer one success.
Now everyone is hungry. We went back to resort by boat and van, and take bath before dinner time. Yeah at last, is dinner time at floating restaurant. The food is waiting for us...eat..lets recover our energy and strength..another event is waiting for us.
For the next event- night jungle walk. I feeling not so enthuse about it...err....may be to many groups take part. I just only can saw few eye deers sparkling from far view affect by the lights. @@....
The first day every one quite exhausted....lets recharge ours enegry for tomorrow challenge....zzzzzz...
Second days ..... I woke up around 6.45a.m. that day...hehe....cause wanna to took photo before sunrise. Mist was every where...the air was so refreshing...I love it. Next, I prepare myself and have my breakfast before continue next trip....Guess what we wanna do for next event - walk to the World's Longest Hanging Bridge - Canopy Walkway. This is what I wait for.
At 8.30 a.m., we took boat about 7 minute to reach the entry of Canopy Walkway and spend 10 minute walk to the main entry. We are the second group line up at the entrance. A while later, other groups came too. It's really a lots of people having vacation at Taman Negara. 500 meters hanging bridge are waiting us to experienced it. But it only open up 300 meters to public, the 200 meters under construction. This is disappointed...humm...forget about it..try it next time lol.
Well, next trip - jungle trekking to Teresek Hill to view the Tahan Mountain. At this point, we took 45 minutes to walk and climb up the staircase. Every a fews walk, the visitor will said to you - 5 more minutes will reach....haha...it seen to be more than 1 hours or more journey to reach that place. Finally, we arrive at the top..we can saw the Tahan Mountain in front of us. As I know, we need 7 days to reach at the top of the mountain..it is really challenging humanity spirit...one day I may try it too..haha....
After lunch at Floating restaurant, we continue the last event - called boat journey to shoot the 7 major rapids toward SG. Trenggan and prepared to get wet + visit Orang Asli settlement......Get wet...this time I leave all my stuffs at suite include my camera...no more camera work...sad.. As normal we took boat to SG. Trenggan. During the ride, I thought we will tackle other boat riders across us with water...hehe...Truth finally show out, En. Alif started to use the paddle to splash the water up and we all get wet....the water is so cold plus the wind coming through to us. I'm also joined the tackling and splash the water using my hand...hehe..I'm so lucky cause I sit at the first row, away from getting wet. But at the back.... all of them are wet.
After the water war, we visit Orang Asli settlement. They show us starting fire with the traditional way and the way to made a blowpipes for hunting. The blowpipes is made from bamboo. This hunting weapon can deadly accurate within 20 meters. I get chances to try the blowpipes with their guide. Cool....I'm hit the target accurately. Before we go, we get a chances play in the river. This is my first experience swimming in the river. It's was fun, great and enjoyable hanging around in World's Oldest 135 Million Years Old Rainforest .
Well is the end of the trips, is time to go home. Hope to visit you in future times.. ^ ^
