Sungai Lembing is an old mining town, which once had the largest, longest and deepest subterranean tin mine in the world. This was 100 years ago during British colonial days, when Sungai Lembing was founded.During 80 years of mining activities it became the largest, longest anddeepest underground tin mine in the world.

History

1888		tin ores discovered.
1891		Pahang Consolidated Company Limited (PCCL) gets a 77-year lease.
1905		mining started.
1921		a fire that ravaged shophouses.
1926		floods.
1950s		heydays of the mine with 15,000 people working at the mine.
1985		tin prices in the world market collapsed.
1986 2001		mine closed. floods
2003		mining museum opened.

不同的人生阶段，每个人都会牵着一只不同的手。

每个人的一生，在不同的阶段里， 都会有不同的手倍伴着。
或许， 当你还在学走路的时候，妈妈小心翼翼的牵着你，伴着你一步一步，踏出人生的第一步。
妈妈一方面开心，一方面又担心你会跌倒。
长大一些时，牵着爸爸的手，吵着要买糖果吃。爸爸就无奈的答应着，眼角里却藏不住辛福的神情。
上了幼儿园， 一班同学牵着手围成圆圈，开心地唱着歌玩游戏， 过着无忧无虑的童年。
青春期时，牵着好姐妹的手， 互相述说着彼此的心事， 然后一起欢笑， 一起落泪。
直到长大了，就会牵着你一生重要的伴侣，彼此约定共同生活， 一起分享辛福， 分担辛苦。
这将会是你一生最美好的回忆。很多很多年后，你老啦， 满脸皱纹啦，走路也不大稳啦， 但你还是坚持要牵着孙儿， 带他到公园里去玩耍。
对吧，不同的人生阶段， 每个人都会牵着一只不同的手。有一种对爱人很含意得称呼，叫做 "牵手"。
这称呼其实很贴切。牵手，看依简单的一个动作，当中包含了多少的爱。
握着他/她的手，感受他/她的温暖，他/她的存在，他/她的爱。
《诗经》中有这样的一首诗：“死生阔契，与子相悦，执子之手，与子偕老。”
不长，但当中包含着深深的含义。
“握着他的手，和他一起变老”， 这不是一件很浪漫的事吗？
我们只有一双手，握着的，也只能是另一双手。当我们放开这一双手，其实也是在腾出空间去迎接另一双手。
重要的是， 好好珍惜你现在握着得手。
